Systems Announces Letter of Intent to Acquire Alan Howarth Music and
Sound Design Academy Award-winning Howarth (Sound Effects team efforts Bram Stockers Dracula, and Hunt for Red October) has helped score or supply special effects for approximately 300 films and television shows including Star Trek. He worked and partnered with directors such as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Wes Craven and many other notable industry icons. Alan and team were also nominated for Oscars for Back to the Future III, Flatliners, and Star Trek IV. He has also received a prestigious MPSE Golden Reel Award for special sound effects for both The Little Mermaid and Total Recall. In addition, Mr. Howarth has pioneered a new form of music designed for the next generation of listening. Howarth and Company are expected to join the growing contingent of profitable privately-held companies that GK has recently acquired or for which it has announced acquisition-related LOIs.
